I've been teaching English for almost 20 years, and in the last 9 years I focused mostly on tutoring IELTS candidates achieving the band they needed. After receiving TESOL, and CELTA certificates of teaching English from Cambridge university, 10 years ago, I had an IELTS teaching training by IELTS ex-examiners in Canada, and that's the time I started focusing mostly on tutoring IELTS.

Depending on the student's current level of English (which has to be minimum B2), I design the curriculum for every individual student to get the band in IELTS exam they need, and my students success rate proves that my method is a success as well.

Take the course about 3 to 4 months before the date you are planning to take the IELTS exam.
A gap between the course and the exam will definitely reduce the band.
