ARAFAT IBRAHIM(GHANAIAN)

Arafat Ibrahim is a native English speaker; he is a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher with 140+ hours of training to teach English as a foreign language.

In high school, at the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, he was an active member of many clubs including the Quiz, Writers and Debaters Club, where he participated and triumphed in many academic competitions. As a brilliant and a hardworking student, he garnered some awards under his belt.

He started university at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he studied Political Science, Philosophy and Religion. In 2021, he won a fully funded scholarship to study in Türkiye. He is currently a student at the University of Cukurova in Adana, where he is reading Political Science and International Relations. He speaks Turkish fluently, as someone who has learnt another language from scratch, he has all the tricks and keys in learning a second language.

Presently, he teaches English at American Culture in Adana. He has taught various groups of students ranging from early teens to adults.

Aside teaching, he is also volunteering to help students at his university’s youth center(Gençlik Merkezi) to improve their English-speaking skills. Also, in Adana we have a weekly programme titled ‘Adana English Nights’ where we gather to speak English with Turks.
